Job Title: Practice Lead - Data Center

Job Summary and Purpose :

- A Practice Lead acts as the subject matter expert and strategic thought leadership advocate for GDT, responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the practice providing industry expertise to both internal and external leaders.

- The Practice Lead has a deep knowledge of their area of expertise and uses this to help develop strategic solutions for the clients, working with our Data Center sales and client leaders.

- The Practice Lead will operate in a "trusted advisor" capacity with client IT leaders and will build sustainable relationships with industry leaders, internal Data Center sales and client leadership, current clients, and potential clients to understand and communicate current and future trends.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

- Practice Leads have overall responsibility for their area of expertise in; practice development; value proposition articulation, strategy in sales pursuits, solution architecture

- Manage all aspects of development of the practice, i.e. define the Portfolio, market positioning, value proposition pricing and technologies supported etc.

- Identify market priorities and provide insight to sales and client leadership

- Partner with sales and client teams on account strategy and offering planning

- Partner with sales and client teams to maintain, develop, and expand client relationships

- Understand the competitor landscape in the practice area

- Identify and review opportunities and prioritize activities to optimize realization of pipeline

- Participate in sales support as part of and/or leading a pursuit team

- Work closely with the Solution Architecture team to drive optimal value for customers

- Formulate the solution based on expertise in practice area

- Act as a change agent to transform and modernize the practice

- Responsible for representing the Practice in industry associations, technical analysts, and high-profile customers

- Create and publish industry thought leadership and white papers

- Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards

Experience/Education :

- Bachelor s degree required, and a graduate degree preferred

- 7+ Years' relevant experience working for a Technology Solutions provider in a similar role or Management role over high performing Pre-Sales & Delivery teams in the Practice area

- Experience in Product development and management in a technology related field would be an advantage

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

- Ideal candidates have proven relevant experience in the practice area including conducting structured analysis, program definition and management, and consultative, collaborative problem-solving.

- Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts

- Possesses aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications

- Experience working with senior level leadership and C-level clients identifying trends, communicating competitive actions, and presenting strategic implications in Technology

- Ability to identify major technology trends in industry and share point of view with clients in support of sales pursuits.

- Excellent communicator (written and oral) with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizations

- Strong program/project management skills

- The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
