About the team:

The Territory Planning & Analytics (- TP&A- ) team is at the nexus of Gartner's mission-critical priorities of rapidly growing the sales force and increasing sales productivity. We partner with corporate and senior sales leaders across the globe to ensure the best return on the company's substantial annual investment in incremental sales professionals. An internal consulting team that advices the business on sales force growth strategy, go-to-market and organizational strategy, design of sales territories, and the allocation of clients and prospects across a sales.

Job description :

- The VP - Territory Planning and Analytics is a senior role in the TPA team responsible to partner with senior sales leaders across APAC, Europe, and Emerging Markets.

- Drive effective change management and shaping regional strategy, presenting to C-Level Executive leadership, along with Senior Vice presidents who overseeing entire regions/continents.

- Design, develop, and lead the sales territory strategy for multiple continents within territory planning function, leverage our internal CRM data in conjunction with 3rd party and qualitative insights to optimize hundreds of territories in alignment with corporate growth and profitability strategies

- Collaborate across multiple departments in various US, APAC, and European time-zones to ensure the activities of TP&A are operating smoothly and accurately.

- Hire and onboard quality talent and lead a focused team of professionals

- Develop and maintain a long-term vision of how to further enhance sales territories and achieve accelerated growth for multiple countries and continents

- Requires someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves/slice and dice data as well as build strategic partnerships

- Responsible for evaluating territories, both at a macro strategic placement and ROI basis, and a granular individual basis to inform specific role review and validation

- Quantify problems by leveraging numerical data or data that can be transformed into usable statistics. Using measurable data to formulate facts and uncover patterns in research.

- Develop a central repository on territory design to form the basis for assessing the most effective and efficient territory modeling solutions by researching and implementing innovative systems and industry best practices

Essential must-have skills :

- Master's degree in Business/MBA with 15 plus years business experience in sales operations or consulting

- Must-have client facing experience specifically with senior leaders / C-level executives

- Comprehensive understanding of sales cycles and demonstrated success in financials or sales analysis

- Exceptionally strong communication skills and an ability to think both analytically as well as keeping business objectives in mind

- Excellent stakeholder management as well as demonstrated ability to manage senior client relationships

- Ability to gain, sustain, and influence senior relationships as a trusted business advisor, collaborating with executive leadership

- Experience leading and contributing to solving complex business problems, leveraging data and using a structured problem-solving approach

- Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities with the ability to synthesize information, summarize issues and think creatively
