Team Lead - Catalog Prospecting

About This Role :

- Catalogue Prospecting team is responsible for identifying vendors for expanding Gartner's reach into further sub-industry segment catering to IT requirements of buyers. This can potentially expand to Contact Discovery stage as well to find qualified leads within vendor firms and help sales deliver more clients to Gartner GDMs.

- Team Leader is responsible for managing a direct team of 5-8 associates. It is expected that the Team Leader will spend the time in managing team and escalations, day to day productivity, stakeholder management, quality checks, team appraisals & feedback management.

- The team is placed at the periphery of operations and sales which makes it a high impact opportunity. The team needs to deliver accurate results for new product/vendor on-boarding from across the world which satisfy Gartner guidelines. Also, this will be a high impact input to sales team to convert on-boarded vendors into clients for GDMs.

- The person will be responsible (through direct reports), for identifying vendors to be added to GDM catalogue suiting Gartner's guidelines.

What you will do :

Operations Management :

- Adept at data analytics by preparing dashboards on MS Excel or Power BI (optional) for constant monitoring of performance indicators for team

- Senior stakeholder reporting and presentations with productivity and quality metrics decided as OKR and KPIs for the team

- Identify process gaps and keep plugging them away through new ideas, initiatives and projects

- Highlight challenges and opportunities for new developments within the team with effective problem-solving skills

- Adept at secondary research and help the team with driving high productivity by skill development, training and continuous support

- Develop understanding of technology industry and help team understand the technical nuance while submitting content for each vendor

Team Management:

- Handle constant escalations and deliver appropriate feedback for continuous improvement

- Quality check via spot and targeted methods to keep the quality delivery of the team above satisfactory standards

- Identify gaps in understanding of each team member to highlight training needs and fulfill via 1-on-1s or peer training methods

- Develop learning modules for the team to initiate culture of continuous learning within the team

What you will need:

- Past direct team management experience. Overall professional experience of 5-7 years

- Secondary Research skills to identify the vendors and their product's offering

- Problem solving skills and product mindset to find creative solutions

- Highly proficient in data analysis and working with large data sets

- Highly proficient with data manipulation in Excel & generating meaningful insights

- Convert the insights into a high-quality deck in PowerPoints for senior management connects & stakeholder reporting

- Creating dashboards on excel or Power BI is a plus

- Previous experience of using a CMS is a plus

- Highly proficient with web research

- Basic Understanding of technology and software.

- Good communication skills - both written and Oral

- Bachelor's degree is required; Masters or advanced degree a plus
