About this role:

Gartner's FLORS (Finance, Legal, Operations, Risk and Strategy) Practice is currently seeking a Senior Quantitative Specialist for its Quantitative Insight team. The team leverages proprietary data and frameworks to offer original, actionable solutions to key business problems facing senior executives across industries.

To that end, we are looking for creative, analytically strong, articulate and self-motivated individuals who would like to develop a strong knowledge of the terrain along with building consultative problem-solving skills.

What you- ll do:

- The Senior Quantitative Specialist is primarily responsible for designing client facing products and working with a developer to convert those designs into products. The researcher is also responsible for developing, supporting, and executing research projects that are fueled by intensive data collection, in-depth research and quantitative analysis, and reporting through customized visuals.

Overall responsibilities:

- Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand client needs, identify use cases and design new/update existing client facing products

- Day to day project mgmt. of a developer

- Monitoring utilization of existing products

- Keeping stakeholders updated on progress

- Communicating and presenting analytical insights and ideas to internal stakeholders

- Aggregating and building data assets from multiple sources

- Analyzing large, complex, disparate data sets to identify actionable insights for senior executives

- Assisting with large-scale data collection efforts through surveys

- Building benchmark and other standardized data reports for clients with insightful graphics

- Uphold quality standards in all deliverables through:

- Testing products to ensure they are complete and error free

- Creation of scalable and standard processes for the use of various data assets.

- Updating and maintaining data assets to ensure easy access to accurate and timely data

- Identifying external data sources that can be leveraged in research and advisory work and creative methods to make them accessible

- Collaborating with researchers and analysts to identify areas where data/quantitative analysis can play a role in strengthening Gartner's research

- Strengthening existing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

- Partner with research and other teams to deliver assigned projects through:

- Leadership in conveying the goals and needs of a project to the other partnering teams (eg: IT, Graphics)

- Creation and management of the project plan to deliver the project in the stated time frames and to the stated level of quality;

- Consistent engagement with the research partner during product design and addresses routine workflow issues;

- Quality check of outputs before sharing with research and advisory team and addressing any related risks or concerns as they are identified;

- Creation of scalable outputs to be shared across the Gartner research and advisory community.

What you'll need:

- Masters or Ph.D. in disciplines with a strong quantitative component, including Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Econometrics

- 3-5 years of total experience, with expertise in data analysis, quantitative research, analytics or benchmarking, product development

- Ability and desire to work extensively in data analysis and visualization

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point

- Proficiency with scripting languages such as R, Python.

- Experience of working on projects which involved large data sets

- Exceptional record of academic achievements

- Original/creative thinking and superior problem-solving abilities

- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Detail-oriented and strong commitment to high-quality results to serve the needs of clients and internal partners

- Self-motivated/self-starter approach to projects
