About this role:

Gartner has exciting career opportunities for a Sr. Project Manager within IT Department. The successful candidate will join Gartner Chief Data Office - Demand Management Team and will lead Corporate Data Platform initiatives, which revolve around Master Data Management of Gartner Key Entities.

What you'll do:

- Organize and lead project teams throughout the project life cycle.

- Analyze and rationalize requirements to determine agreed, achievable project objectives that align to organizational goals, strategies and objectives.

- Recommend scope boundaries to best meet business and technology objectives within given time and resource constraints.

- Drive estimates for all components of the projects.

- Review, rationalize and integrate multiple work streams of projects into a structured, cohesive project plan.

- Coordinate with other project teams and plans as required.

- Successfully create, follow, update and maintain project schedules while tracking milestones and dependencies across teams within a project.

- Track and remove impediments for the project team.

- Identify issues with impact beyond project; resolve issues working with teams across projects.

- Facilitate the development of RFP's or SOW based on project requirements and manage deliverables to implementation and delivery.

- Work with Product, Technology and Business Owners to define release plans, grooming and prioritizing backlog.

- Facilitate agile scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective.

- Lead and coach team in agile practices.

- Successfully champion program management improvement initiatives in the department.

- Influence changes that sustainably increase scrum team velocity.

- Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with project team participants and project stakeholders across business and technical teams.

What you'll need:

- BS/BA in computer science, information systems or equivalent working experience Expert level communication with both technical and non-technical personnel, both oral and written

- 4 - 6 years of experience in a role that required IT project management skills

- 2 - 3 years of experience in executing projects in Agile Scrum Methodology

- 2 - 5 years of Developer / Tech Lead experience is preferred

- 3 - 5 years of experience in Data Warehouse/MDM environment is preferred

- Experience working with global teams, particularly with team members in India, is strongly preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence and make recommendations to staff at all levels.

- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and Cloud migration in a large enterprise is preferred.

- Proficiency preferred in areas such as: metadata management, master data management, data governance, data solutions management, data quality, cleansing strategies and Web Services.

- Proven record of managing project teams that include both IT staff members and business stakeholders.

- PMP and / or Agile Scrum certifications preferred.
