About this role :

The Human Resources Practice (HR) at Gartner is seeking a BI Developer/Senior Analyst for its team. The position involves the development and management of multiple survey and data reporting tools as well as the build out and maintenance of benchmarking and BI metrics. Project responsibilities include data aggregation and analysis, automated reporting, conducting descriptive and prescriptive data analysis, development and/or management of small-scale web applications, and development/enhancement of internal BI analyses.

What you'll do :

- Build reports (using automated processes) to present member results and analysis based on GARTNER research

- Own end-to-end creation, development and analysis of large, complex data sets to identify actionable insights

- Develop and maintain client self-service tools (Excel-based and web-based)

- Develop and maintain SQL databases which support reporting and application initiatives

- Assist internal clients with new product development, including requirements and best practices definitions

- Partner with vendors and internal clients to develop and maintain web applications

- Manage client data (including quality and security)

- Develop and maintain key internal BI metrics.

What you will need :

- Graduate/ Post Graduate with 3-5 years of total experience, with at least 2 years- experience working in data analysis, quantitative research, analytics or benchmarking

- Experience with statistical packages, especially R and/or SPSS.

- Experience to other software tools and frameworks e.g. Python, SQL, R.

- Exposure to technologies like Machine Learning, NLP (natural language processing) and Text Analytics a strong plus

- Programming or advanced statistical skills a strong plus

- Knowledge of MS Power BI, Tableau Online, MicroStrategy or other data visualization tools a plus.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Quick and adaptive learners with original/creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities

- Detail-oriented

- A background in a quantitative discipline such as IT/computer science, economics, accounting, statistics, or mathematics

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Strong project management and time management skills

- Ability to work either independently and in a team environment

- Work well with team members based in USA

- Self-motivated/self-starter
