About the team:

The Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team is at the nexus of Gartner's mission-critical priorities of rapidly growing the sales force and increasing sales productivity. We partner with corporate and senior sales leaders across the globe to ensure the best return on the company's substantial annual investment in incremental sales professionals.

Job description:

- Develop actionable data science tasks and translate quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies

- Build algorithms that help with the analyzing disparate data sources of company firmographics to determine most accurate value for Gartner's territory design

- Build statistical models to predict contact conversion performance

- Assess total opportunity within a given territory and determine territory optimization opportunities

- Iteratively improve model performance to maximize revenue growth

- Identify ways to use ML to iterate on algorithm performance

- Balance algorithm coverage and accuracy to automate sales performance globally

- Work with Head of Territory Enrichment to identify practical, intuitive solutions mapped to business objectives

- Integrate algorithms within IT systems with support of Territory Product Director.

- Work on several initiatives that have unstructured data, derive key insights that are top priorities and automate the process by partnering with Product Director to implement with data engineers

Essential must-have skills:

- Minimum 6-8 years of experience with good experience in machine learning models & advanced modelling techniques

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar

- Experience working on solving problems that involve utilizing Machine Learning techniques and NLP is good to have

- Experience and proficiency with Python coding

- Experience of working with big data technologies like PySpark and important python machine learning libraries and statistical packages

- Working experience with SQL/relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4j), Linux and shell scripting

- Hands on experience of working in Deep Learning Models and related frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch etc.
