About this role:

Senior Data Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing and building Modern Data warehouse in Azure Cloud to meet the shifting organizational demands. You will engage in modernization activities to migrate application ETL jobs from Informatica/PLSQL to Azure cloud based Azure Data Factory and Synapse. You will be part of Ingestion Team to bring data from multiple sources into Data warehouse.

What you'll do:

- Responsible to review and analysis of business requirements and design technical mapping document

- Migrate legacy ETL Informatica/PLSQL into Azure Data Factory and Synapse

- Build new ETL using Azure Data Factory and Synapse

- Help build defining best practices & processes

- Collaborate on Data warehouse architecture and technical design discussions

- Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design and specifications, as well as document and review detailed designs

- Provide status reports to the higher management

- Maintain Service Levels and department goals for problem resolution.

What you'll need:

- 3+ experience in Database Operations with a bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred).

- Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling

- Understanding of BI/DW development methodologies (Kimball/Inmon)

- Experience in ETL using Azure Data Factory

- Hands-on experience with Synapse

- Good exposure writing complex SQL

- Good knowledge in cloud technology and exposure in cloud tools

- Good understanding of business process and analyzing underlying data

- Commitment to teamwork as a contributor

- Experience with an Agile Methodology like Scrum

Optional:

- Experience with building applications leveraging Microsoft SQL Server

- Informatica Power Center

- Experience Microsoft SSIS or

- Experience in PLSQL

- Experience with Python/Java programming language
