About this role

- TalentNeuron is part of the Big Data and advanced analytics revolution. It provides insight and analysis on the labor market based on analyzing a unique dataset of multibillion historical labor market records across 40 countries


- The candidate will need a strong knowledge of statistics and economics with an emphasis in Data Preprocessing applied on Labor Market.

- Gartner TalentNeuron is currently seeking a Manager, Team Manager for its Data Science team.

- The team leverages proprietary quantitative data and frameworks to offer original, actionable insights to key business problems facing senior executives across industries.

- The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team of quantitative researchers and partnering with Product, UX/UI, and IT teams to contribute to the development of data and analytics enterprise applications

What you will do :

- Lead the design and creation of primary data collection instruments, sampling methodologies, and quantitative models

- Analyze large datasets and conceptualize analytical framework for quant projects

- Build quantitative methodology proposals that use inferential Statistical/Econometric models to validate research hypothesis related to labor market and create actionable insights

- Understanding technical issues in statistical modelling and applying these skills toward solving business problems

- Create compelling and unique data visualizations that accurately communicate insights and teaching points to our clients

- Lead and promote best practice in design, execution, process & delivery of projects

- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to team members related to all aspects of quantitative research including data modeling, data analysis, content writing and insight generation among others

- Work closely with peer managers to build trust, encourage teamwork and identify synergies to capitalize for highest impact

What you'll need:

- MBA or master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics / Statistics / other related fields with significant expertise in data analysis, quantitative research, analytics or benchmarking

- Minimum 7 years of experience at a leading research / data analytics / business intelligence / consulting firm

- At least 2 years of managerial experience with direct supervision responsibilities

- Mastery in at least one Statistical software package (R, Python)

- R library and Shiny app development experience an asset

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Detail-oriented and commitment to high-quality results
