Manager, HR Operations - India is responsible for responsible for managing a team of HR Associates (HRAs) who provide administrative HR and operational support for one of the fastest-growing offices of Gartner worldwide. This role will also partner with HR teams across the globe to ensure best-in-class service and operations, while also offering direct support to local HR teams in a variety of special projects and initiatives

Responsibilities :

- Provide day-to-day management, guidance, and direction to the local HR team, as well as ongoing coaching and feedback, to ensure flawless service and support.

- Serve as the HRA for the India-based HR team, ensuring the highest possible level of discretion and confidentiality when processing requests.

- Partner closely with the HR Command Center (HRCC) and HRIS team to ensure local adherence to all HR processes and procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancements. Ensure local team is aware of all process/procedure/policy updates and take lead role in communication and training.

- Build and maintain strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships for effective daily partnership. (HR Recruiting, Finance, Compensation, Payroll, Immigration, etc.)

- Provide direct support for local HR teams. Examples include supporting special projects, large-scale recurring processes, and investigations, creating communication documents and templates, performing research and analysis, and coordinating large-scale initiatives.

- Related duties as required. Please note we expand this role to grow and expand over time, and candidates should be open to change and eager to take on new assignments.

Qualifications & Background :

- Experience with HR administration and general exposure / knowledge of various HR functions (e.g., policy, compensation, employee relations, benefits, performance management, etc.).

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to create effective presentations and training documents.

- Demonstrated management skills in either a team lead or manager role, with ability to coach, train, motivate and manage performance of others.

- Exceptional project and process management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proven collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.


- Experience operating in global environments with non-local stakeholders required, and candidates should be able to flex their schedule on occasion to join global team calls.

- Sound judgment; ability to solve problems and make recommendations to remediate issues, ensuring best-in-class service and professionalism at all times.

- Anility to ensure confidentiality and discretion when managing sensitive issues.

- Flexibility and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

- Bachelor's/PG degree in Human Resources, business or a related field required.

- At least 9 years of work experience.

- Workday experience and knowledge required.

- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications and the ability to quickly learn new software products. G Suite experience a plus.
