About this role:

As a hands-on technical leader, direct a multi-disciplinary development team to implement significant improvements to core systems and business processes to help fulfill our Data Platform strategy, including architecting and developing a brand new, critical, cloud-based business application

What you'll do:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Manage a multidisciplinary development team

- Develop and implement significant improvements to core systems and business processes in support of the company- s/divisions profit, growth, and customer satisfaction goals.

- Architect for high application performance, data security and future scalability

- Lead the review and analysis of business requirements to create technical designs

- Drive technical design discussions

- Implement, unit test, Integration test and support software applications and services

- Participate in code reviews and peer inspections

- Direct multiple technology based projects and staff in support of IT

- Responsible for the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of largescale projects.

- Direct technical activities to Estimate, Plan, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy solutions into production

- Provide guidance and feedback to developers, evaluating performance and identifying strengths and areas for development

- Continuously learn technologies quickly and apply effectively

What you'll need:

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the field of software development.

- 10 - 14 years experience in web application development

- Extensive experience in solving complex problems and driving solutions

- Hands-on Java EE/Spring, React, JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, AJAX, XML, JSON and PL/SQL experience with a relational database is required

- People management experience is required

- Experience in building & managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS preferred or Azure)

- Node.js experience is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with other teams

- A proven track record of leading the design and deployment of large scale solutions.

- Experience in all phases of a systems development lifecycle

- Excellent software development and object oriented design fundamentals with a strong background in architecting software applications

- Experience in Agile/Scrum
