Reports to: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Location: NEW DELHI

Introduction:

This organization is a not-for-profit organization working towards building capacities across areas such as healthcare, education and other sustainable development goals. The organization has partnered with prestigious institutions across the country to create an exponential impact towards a population-scale system change.

Organization's Mission is to:

- Leveraging their knowledge-sharing platform within the framework of the organization's principles, their mission is to replicate and support their programs in India with an aim to demonopolize knowledge and amplify capacity

- To work towards bridging gaps in healthcare and education with a goal to touch 400 million lives in India by 2025.

Reason for the hire:

They are looking to hire the Fundraising Lead to create a pipeline of sustainable source of funds to leverage the mission and goal of the organization. The Fundraising Lead will support the COO and the Co- Founders in opening doors to new fundraising avenues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy and Internal Processes:

- Work with the organization's leadership to create and define overarching fundraising strategy.

- Set-up systems and processes to ensure efficient execution of the strategy.

- Execute the strategy to achieve defined targets.

- Research and track potential funding sources - corporate, philanthropists, foundations, government to help develop / iterate the fundraising strategy

Funding Pipeline

- Create and maintain database about current and prospective donor demographics, identifying new avenues to maintain and diversify funding sources.

- Identify donor opportunities, respond to donor call for proposals, represent organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding opportunities

- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at potential funding partner organizations.

- Actively engage with all stakeholders on a regular basis to keep abreast of new sector developments as well as potential partnership opportunities.

- Identify / research and attend sector-focused, networking events

Donor Engagement

- Provide guidance to and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to develop proposals & activity plans including budgets and cash flows.

- Create and execute donor engagement plans to cultivate long term relationships with current and new donors.

Must Haves:

- The incumbent should come with 15 - 20 years in the development sector (with at least 8- 10 years' experience in fundraising). exposure to the healthcare sector would be an added advantage, but not a limiting factor.

- The incumbent should have demonstrated strategic thinking in the current or previous organization. He/she should be an effective communicator, relationship builder and a strong leader.

- The incumbent must bring in strong analytic, strategic planning, business development and technology skills.

- The incumbent must be a strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, stakeholder management.

Preferable:

- Exposure to the healthcare sector would be an added advantage, but not a limiting factor.
