Fund Accountant

This position is currently anticipated for night shift (6PM to 3AM IST).

Requirements:

- 3-5 years relevant accounting experience preferably in investment/asset administration industry (hedge funds, private equity/VC, etc.

- Sound working knowledge of various product types i.e. Equity Swaps, Futures, Options etc.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on clear, concise documentation. Attention to detail is a must.

- MBA is preferred but not a must.

- Great communication skills, both written and oral. Able to effectively communicate with team members and external parties.

- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines. Flexible and able to multi-task.

- Self-starter. Able to work independently and proactively research to figure out solutions.

- Conscientious, responsible, and reliable worker. Has a roll-up-their sleeve, 'no work is too little' positive attitude.

- Functional with Excel (e.g. formulas/pivot tables, etc.)

Job Description:

- Assist with trade operations for local, India trades involving facilitating trade settlement process and clearing trade settlement breaks.

- Support Accounting manager in liaising with Offshore, Mauritius and Indian-based fund administrators, bankers, custodians, and brokers. Resolve any differences with 3rd parties.

- Support in reviewing Fund NAV for Mauritius Entities.

- Support in review of annual, IFRS Audited Financial Statements for Mauritius Entities and. managing audit process.

- Support the Accounting Manager in India with Mauritius and India compliance and regulatory filings.

- Perform reconciliations for cash, trades and securities with bank and broker statements.

- Assist the Accounting Manager in India managing the India Office. Includes accounting books, cash management, accounts payables, expense reports, GST, TDS, and other compliances.

- Ad-hoc projects/reports, as needed.
