Fund Accountant - International Buy-Side Firm - CA

Job Description:

Reporting directly in to the Real Estate Fund Controller:

- The Fund Accountant will support Real Estate Fund Controllers and CFO in day to day operations and financial reporting for several opportunistic closed-end real estate funds

- The individual will work within a financial and operational team responsible for fund, investment, client and management accounting and reporting; performance measurement; financial analysis; cash management; oversight of a portfolio of real estate products; and coordination with and oversight of third party administrators;

- The individual will be involved with monthly and quarterly management reporting, preparation and review of work papers, calculating and invoicing of fees and carried interest, cash disbursement approval and processing, fund budgeting and expense, analysis, preparation/review of bank reconciliations and journal entries, and the coordination and review of various tax calculations and filings;

- The individual will assist the real estate investment team on funding for closings and dispositions and review of monthly investment level reporting from operators

The Successful Candidate:

- Must be a CA with 2-5 years of post-experience in the financial services/real estate industry only

- Should have previous experience in fund finance/administration/service for a buy-side firm preferably with a real-estate focused fund or a Big 4 audit experience in the real estate space

- Hands-on with excel modelling, US GAAP, fund accounting, operations & administration

- Strong analytical & communication skills are a must for a good fitment in the international organisation
