Functional Head


Job Purpose :


- Responsible for maintaining inventories of Raw Material, Packing Material required for the Plant operations, Upkeep of warehouse, ensure smooth operations of pneumatic conveying systems and liquid handling systems and develop processes and monitoring systems.

- Build systems and processes to handle the raw materials consumption on FIFO and avoid loss of materials.


- Also ensure the system to assure the quality of raw material consumed for production ( i.e. System to avoid contamination of material during charging, system to avoid expiry materials to be blocked on time etc.)


- Monitor and Control - FLL (Factory level loss) arising out of Variance, quality issues and spillages, leakages in the areas of Raw Material, Packing Material and Finished Goods

1. Inventory Management (RM / PM) for seamless operation of the plant

2. Proactive planning and FG Inventory management to cater to changing market demand

3. FLL - Factory Level Losses - As low as possible

4. VDPT - Volume Damages Per Ton to be maintained as low as possible

- Variance control in RM and PM

- Supply and Demand management of Raw Material and Packing Material

- TAT

Key Result Areas :


- Inventory Management - Inventory Management (RM / PM) for seamless operation of the plant

- Proactive Planning - Proactive planning and FG Inventory management to cater to changing market demand

- FLL as low as Possible


- Monitoring and analysis of batch wise data and take corrective actions to reduce FLL


- Reuse scheme for waste material

- VDPT to be maintained as low as possible


- Transporter Collaboration and Training, Properly laid systems and practices for Dispatch


- Variance Control in RM & PM


- Proper Monitoring of batchwise RM addition data


- Measurement and tracking on weekly/ fortnightly basis

- Supply and Demand management of Raw Material and Packing Material


- Proper Coordination within production department and planning department


- Vendor alignment as per planning requirements

Job Purpose of Direct Reports :

- Engineering Function Head Daily / Weekly Breakdowns and Maintenance Plans

- QA Function Head Daily Quality testing etc.

- Factory Head Daily Update on daily parameters

External :

- Suppliers of RM / PM Exceptions Handling Supply and quality related issues

- Loading and Unloading Contractor Weekly Operational Efficiency, VDPT
