Functional Consultant/Senior Consultant - SAP PP QM

 Essentials (prerequisites) :

Job Role :

Experience

- Minimum two end to end implementations in India (Client facing)

- Should have domain experience in a Big Manufacturing set up in Production area handling Production Planning, Resource Planning & Scheduling

- Should have worked in shop floor environment and should have good understanding of manufacturing processes

- Experience of 8 - 10 years

Expectations at the consultant level

- Understanding of Business Processes and Design

- Prepare Business Blueprint document

- SAP configuration / configuration document preparation

- Preparation of functional specifications / interaction with ABAP team

- Unit testing / User acceptance testing

- Preparation of training manuals

- Preparation of data templates / understanding of data upload tools

- Basic understanding of SAP Authorizations

Functional understanding of PP modules comprising of

- Bill of materials

- Work centers/ Work center Hierarchy

- Routing/reference operation set routing

- Operations

- Demand Management

- Strategies/requirement type/class

- Material requirement planning

- Planned order- creation/ conversion

- Production order processing & execution

- Stock determination

- Batch management

- Product cost Planning

Functional understanding of QM modules comprising of

- Should be familiar with SAP purchasing, production (PP-PI) and sales processes as they related to QM

- QM master data.

- Inspection Process for Goods receipt from purchase Order, in process, post production, recurring,

- Customer Returns Process.

- Shelf life expiry

- Quality Notification processes.

- Quality certificates. And certificate Of Analysis (CoA)

- Generation of Quality certificates processes

- Defects recording and further notification processes

- Batch management knowledge required

Additional expectation for role of senior consultant

- Has independently lead the module development

- Client communication

- Preparation of project status reports

- Must have Integration understanding - with MM, SD, CO repetitive manufacturing planned order/ planning table/ back flushing Sales and operation planning, Mass processing and settlement of order.

- Interface functionalities IDOCs and exchange of data between SAP & middle ware such SAP PI

- Must have excellent cross modular exposure

Academic Qualification : Post Graduate with good understanding of Production Planning
