We have a culture and practice of customer centricity, hiring and developing the best, insisting on the highest standards, calculated risk taking and delivering results. - We also have a wholly owned subsidiary Appario Retail Private Limited which shall engage in Multi- Brand Retail through E-commerce Position Description : Tax Manager LOCATION : Bangalore REPORTING TO : CFO Summary of Responsibilities : - We are seeking a Tax Manager to focus on India Indirect tax and Direct tax reporting and compliance. This position will be primarily focused on preparing and reviewing tax reporting (includes handling tax returns, tax accounting & tax assessments) as well as the international aspects of the US GAAP worldwide income tax provision. - The ideal candidate will operate as a partner and be comfortable working closely with various internal teams in order to complete various tax compliance as well as various project requirements. Primary responsibilities : - Analyzing business transactions and initiatives, partnering with various teams and functioning as an in-house tax advisor - Prepare and / or review quarterly GST returns for various entities at PAN India Level. Ensuring timely filing and payment of taxes - Examining applicable GST provisions, Customs Law and other indirect tax issues which includes working with tax authorities and external consultants as a part of Global tax team - Analyzing and evaluating the possible planning opportunities and strategies under applicable tax laws - Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future Indian indirect tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions by updating the relevant teams - Continues monitoring of applicability of various state specific transit forms and ensure compliance with the state specific regulatory requirement - Assisting with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis - Setting up of Information Management framework and designing framework for assessment readiness. Also assist the teams on audits, litigation and assessment proceedings. - Prepare and / or review monthly, quarterly and annual India income tax returns for various entities and support IN GAAP statutory filings for India based entities - Providing support to the Indian based accounting team responsible for tax accounting and reconciliations - Reviewing financial data for proper application of tax laws and advising on development and maintenance of accounting systems which provide tax information required to be reported - Review of financial statements, reports and support closing of local financial statements. - Review Tax audits and drive completion of tax audits report on time from tax standpoint. - Support & review transfer pricing compliance and ensure they are completed on time. - Co-ordination with Tax Consultants for effective completion of income-tax returns, submissions & representation of information. Knowledge & Skills Required : - Qualified CA . - Minimum 6 years of indirect tax experience. Over all experience of 8 years and above - Must have proven ability to manage projects to closure, with strong attention to detail. - Must have proven ability to influence decisions in a multi-functional and international team environment. - Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department. - Knowledge and experience with accounting for income taxes under IN GAAP required. - Understanding of accounting concepts. - Experience with Oracle Financial Applications helpful Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in a fast moving MNC for at least last 3 years highly preferred, and able to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment. - Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department. - Knowledge and experience with accounting for income taxes under IN GAAP required. - Understanding of accounting concepts. - Experience with Oracle Financial Applications helpful Frontizo and Appario are equal opportunities employers.
