Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to business leaders (or organizations throughout the enterprise). Management Level Description: - Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines - Solves a wide range of complex problems - Works independently receive minimal guidance - Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Key Responsibilities: - Data Preparation, Gathering and Analysis Drives the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources - Explores and examines data from multiple disparate sources across multiple domains to solve business problems Extracts, transforms, and combines all data for the objective of discovering hidden insight and recommend action Demonstrates experience and knowledge in the specific domain (sales & marketing, credit risk, fraud, research) (Required) - Statistical Analysis - Data Mining and Advanced Analytic Techniques Applies time-series modeling, regression /classification modeling; decision trees, clustering, hypothesis testing and related approaches in support of analytical initiatives Designs, deploys, and enhances complex statistical models, and recommend ways to operationalize them and the results (Required) - Business Engagement Meets with internal clients to clearly define the business problem, understand their hypothesis and propose how to structure and solve the problem analytically Presents results of research, analyzes, insights to business units, explains technical and statistical concepts to non-technical/non-statistical associates and vice-versa clearly and concisely (Required) Skills Required: - Ability to translate business challenges into analytical problems - Ability to articulate and explain statistical / machine learning techniques to business partners - Proven experience in telling stories using data - Ability to handle large datasets for building Statistical/Machine learning models which include hands-on experience working on data cleansing, manipulation and data mining. - Proven ability to work with ambiguous (not well defined) challenges - Displays curiosity to learn and learns independently - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent organizational and planning skills - Proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure in a changing/growing environment - Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail - Ability to work individually or as a team as the task requires - Ability to mentor junior team members - Able to cultivate interpersonal customer and co-worker relationships Education (or equivalent experience): - Master's / Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines, preferably from premier Institutes. - 5-10 years of experience in advanced analytics - Proven Experience in Statistical and Machine learning techniques. - Desirable to have experience in Time Series modeling as well.
