I. Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor within Market Data Services, the Market Data Business Analyst plays a key role in fulfilling market data requests for Franklin Templeton employees that use market data and research services provided by external third parties. The Business Analyst provides high-quality customer service and support to employees located in Franklin Templeton offices worldwide. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support related toof market data services utilizing a variety of systems and platforms to input and track metrics on MDS request. The Business Analyst must be willing to learn about the products and services provided by Franklin Templeton's leading market data vendors and understand how these services are used within Franklin Templeton. The Market Data Business Analysts will have regular interaction with investment teams, vendor management, finance, legal, and senior level management and will be required to communicate and resolve issues expediently and professionally.

II. Job Duties/ Responsibilities

60 E Account Administration

- Order and cancel vendor services and understand, analyze and report the financial impact on those orders and cancellations

Promote cost efficient use of market data services by advising business units on vendor's offering and capabilities while looking for ways to achieve cost savings by reducing, changing or replacing services, and/or negotiating savings with vendors

- Work with the market data administration team to adhere to workflow processes to ensure appropriate reconciliation for vendor payments and contract negotiations, including investigation to resolve vendor discrepancies quickly and efficiently

- Develop and improve existing processes

30 E Vendor Management

- Manage global vendor relationships, including but not limited to

- Coordinating demos of new products and services

- Coordinating onsite meetings to review existing services and/or meetings with the end users

- Work with end users to understand strengths and weaknesses of vendor products and work with vendors to correct any service deficiencies

- Meet with vendors regularly to understand any new offerings, enhancements to existing service or significant changes in services

- Negotiate vendor contracts (new services and renewals)

- Negotiate fees, terms of service and Franklin standard terms and conditions

- Collect and consolidate complex business requirements from end users

- Understand the financial impact of vendor contracts

- Prepare written summaries of the agreement for review by senior management

- Serve as the main point of contact between the end users, vendors and legal

- Work with management to develop vendor and negotiation strategies

- Engage internal stakeholders as a trusted advisor to assess evolving market data needs, providing guidance on rights and restrictions, and develop strategic solutions

10 E Other

- Participate in projects and other tasks as assigned

- Respond to ad hoc inquiries of Franklin employees and vendors

III. Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

(Years of experience is not applicable for European jobs)

- Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

- 3+ years- market data industry experience and/or financial services industry experience

- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

- Prior experience and knowledge of market data vendors such as FactSet, Bloomberg, MSCI and Standard & Poor's

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of the Financial Information Tracking System- (FITS- ) a Plus

- Knowledge of market data administration preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to deliver positive results within the established timeframes while managing multiple priorities.

- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with field personnel and outside business associates in the course of performing assigned duties.

- Ability to negotiate with external vendors to achieve desired results

- Ability to work independently as well collaboratively with the border team

- Ability to effectively respond to a dynamically changing work environment

- Strong skill and ability in multi-tasking with appropriate prioritization
