What is the Distribution Intelligence team responsible for? - The Lead Distribution Intelligence Analyst - Lead Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in our Distribution Intelligence team. Collaborating closely with Franklin Templeton Distribution, you will lead the harnessing of data to inform, execute, and measure our Distribution strategy. - Your role will encompass the comprehensive range of distribution-related data, spanning across market, product, client, and engagement intelligence. With your analytical mindset, you will interpret this data and provide insightful analysis to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Working in close partnership with our sales, marketing, and technology teams, you will lead the co-creation of best-in-class solutions that drive sales, retain assets, and diversify Franklin Templeton's client base What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Lead Data Scientist? - Develop and execute the data science strategy, aligning it with business goals and objectives to drive business outcomes and ensure maximum impact. - Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to drive their professional growth and deliver high-quality results. - Drive the analysis of complex and large datasets from various sources, leveraging advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights that optimize business outcomes. - Lead the development and deployment of predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to support enhanced business understanding of sales trends, segmentation, customer behaviors, and performance, enabling proactive decision-making and strategic planning. - Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency, and drive best practices for maintaining high data quality across relevant systems and databases. - Collaborate closely with business leaders, analysts, and IT teams to understand business needs, align strategies, and communicate the impact of data-driven insights on business outcomes. Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders at various levels of the organization. - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, business analytics and the asset management industry. What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful? - We are actively seeking a talented and results-driven Lead Data Scientist to join our team and take on a leadership role in driving business outcomes through the power of data analytics and insights. - As a Lead Data Scientist, you will not only apply your expertise in advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques but also provide guidance and mentorship to a team of data scientists. - Your contributions will be instrumental in making data-informed decisions, identifying growth opportunities, and propelling our organization to new levels of success. - Master's/bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, with significant experience leading data science projects and teams. Experience in financial services or the asset management industry is a plus. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to guide strategic initiatives. - Expertise in programming languages such as Python and R, and proficiency with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, seaborn). Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms is a plus. - Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and feature engineering. Experience with frameworks like scikit-learn or TensorFlow. Experience with new machine learning platforms, such as H2O, is a plus. - Strong expertise in statistical modeling techniques such as regression, clustering, time series analysis, and hypothesis testing. - Ability to understand business objectives, market dynamics, and strategic priorities.
