What is the Associate Strategic Business Consultant - Client Analytics group responsible for?

The candidate will be required to support the formulation & implementation of business strategies for Franklin Templeton's various business groups which includes US Retail Sales, SRT, Institutional Sales, PWD, DCIO/VAIO

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Associate Strategic Business Consultant?

- Independently research and analyze internal & external data (from third party databases) involving key business metrics using BI tools to generate actionable insights by creating various reports, dashboards, etc.

- Participate and contribute to research projects led by senior team members

- Generate point of view through secondary research on industry trends, product research, competitor intelligence and customer insights to support decision making

- Develop short term and long term business strategies through dialogues, reports, analysis etc.

- Interpret and prioritize client requests, as well as independently interface with and manage internal client base, which includes sales team, wholesalers and relationship managers

- Provide guidance to sales support team & other staff functions on business process and sales team requirements

- Communicate insights from complex data to management in a useful manner

- Collaborate with project managers from various business groups including Technology, Data Intelligence, Sales Reporting & Product Strategy to deliver required business outcomes

- Coordinate effort of implementing strategy within and outside USAS to garnish the intended results

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : 

- Masters in Business Administration from top Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutes and with good academic credentials

- Overall 3 to 7 years of experience, with some experience post MBA preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : 

- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (formulas & functions), MS Word, MS PowerPoint

- Exposure to a BI tool (Tableau, SAS, SQL, R, Python)

- Sound written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work directly with clients and teammates

- Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task, and meet firm deadlines

- Capable of working independently as well as in groups

- Ability to maintain a professional image

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING : 

- Independently capable of interpreting and analyzing Big data

- Sound quantitative and analytical skills, with detail oriented approach to research
