Technical Skills Requirement Summary

- He should be adopted with all the analytical techniques as well as product evaluation techniques. Sound communication skills both written and spoken are a must.

The role of the fragrance manager will be to help the concerned scientists in selecting the ideal fragrance/flavour for the product under development.

The ability to Benchmark category products against the R&D developed product should be done in a scientific and unbiased manner and should hold good in the final consumer panel evaluation.

- The fragrance manager should be well traveled and must be exposed to a variety of products worldwide and must have a repository of fragrance compound.

- Should be technically sound to characterise and describe a fragrance and help in creating fragrance briefs for the manufacturers.

- He must have knowledge of ingredients and likely interactions with the product formulations.

- Should have good interpersonal skills and proven achievements in the fragrance & flavour field.

- Strong knowledge of Fragrance & Flavours, analytical chemistry, regulatory affairs, guidelines on product safety.

- Dealing with Fragrance/ Flavour houses for getting submission as per marketing brief.Interface with scientists teams, marketing and manufacturing/ QA on issues related to Fragrances/ Flavours. Generate ideas and create concepts for fragrance finalization.
