We are a new age Packaged snacks start-up founded by seasoned entrepreneurs with a proven track record in the Indian consumer sector. Forbidden Foods targets to establish a leadership position in the modern packaged snacks industry in the country.

The company launched its first range of products - BRB Popped Chips - in Jan 2020 starting with Delhi-NCR. The products are Not Fried, Not Baked, but Popped Chips - an innovative and better-for-you snacking alternative. While the products are very tasty, they are also significantly healthier compared to other chips in the market as they contain 60% less fat as compared to regular fried chips.

The current portfolio comprises 4 flavours each on Popped Potato Chips and Popcorn Chips (yes, you read that right, popcorns in the form of chips)!! All eight flavours are thoughtfully chosen to cater to every kind of taste palate.

In the last two years, the distribution presence has expanded from the first market of Delhi-NCR to over 10 cities currently across major retail stores in both Traditional and Modern set-up. The products are also available on online platforms like Amazon, BigBasket, SwiggyInstamart, Flipkart Grocery, Zepto along with the BRB website. Purpose : We are hiring a Finance Manager to lead the Finance and Accounting function department with the ownership of short term and long-term business plan, MIS, book-keeping, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Preparing business plans and budgets to support strategic planning

- Financial reporting and budget vs. actual variance analysis for management and strategic decision making

- Financial control over invoices and payables process

- Identifying and implementing ways of reducing the receivables cycle and other working capital improvements

- Preparing various MIS reports, monthly and quarterly P&L and other financial statements

- Ownership of all statutory filings, payments and compliances

- Overseeing the day-to-day book-keeping and accounting

- Responsible for finalization of accounts on monthly, quarterly, annual basis

- Managing the auditing process and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices

- Identifying areas and opportunities for cost reduction and plugging leakages

- Managing a team of executives in the F&A department

- Managing relationships with external service providers, CAs, consultants etc. for the finance function

Required Experience, Competencies and Skills :

- Qualified CA with a proven track record in managing Finance & Accounts with a FMCG/FMCD company for a minimum of 3 years

- Experience in a manufacturing setup and/or startup will be an added positive

- Ability to manage and mentor juniors Finance & Accounts Executives

- Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.

- Practical experience of an ERP

- Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage leadership and stakeholders (both external & internal)

- Professional written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint
