Flipkart - Senior Manager - Category Marketing - Mobiles - IIM/XLRI/FMS/MDI (4-5 yrs)

This role is part of the Category marketing team within Mobiles.

- The person will be in charge of the Go To Market for new product/brand launches in for select Mobile phone brands.


- This role entails working closely with the marketing communications team to develop the assets for all the relevant communications media for launch and sustenance campaign. Responsibilities include bringing new customers to the category, planning and developing effective marketing communication campaigns for category growth, new launches, and sustenance.


- This role should understand the whys behind the sales of different brands and price segments and build on the same to give the right messaging across all touchpoints customized by brand models.


- This would also involve working with in-house/external designers to produce materials of visual impact and within brand guidelines.


- The lead would also be expected to understand how digital marketing domains work for the Mobiles category and prepare the roadmap for digital marketing for the category basis.

Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and sustain solid relationships with key brand partner marketing teams

- Provide in-depth information and Flipkart driven insights to brand partners

- Establish marketing goals and supervise the launch plans for each key product

- Develop sustenance plans for each key launch

- Act as the main point of contact between partner brand marketing teams and internal Flipkart marketing functions

- Communicate and collaborate with the marketing, media, PR and sell-side teams to ensure coordinated marketing plans are created

- Develop a thorough understanding of marketing needs for each launch and preparing customized solutions.

- Oversee the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects

- Work within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service

- Evaluating the performance of launch plans and suggesting ways of improvement

- Adjust marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback

Requirements:

Desired background

- Educational background - MBA from Tier 1 B-School with 5+ yrs experience in Sales & Marketing

- Knowledge of Retail, the consumer goods industry is a plus

- Good understanding of Retail and Category Marketing

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders in high levels of ambiguity

- Ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the organization
