Drive Selection addition by acquiring new sellers in the field along with a Team and Feet on Street Agencies.
Role Summary:
- In this role, the person would be responsible for selection addition by acquiring new sellers through his team on ground and partners. This is a field sales role and the team leaders as well his/her entire Org is expected to be on the field/road acquiring sellers. The candidate would also be responsible to identify and onboard support partners to facilitate new seller acquisition and going live process like imaging/cataloguing/training/business improvement etc.
Job Description:
- Background in field sales is mandatory - individual will have to be the kind who enjoys being on the field and convincing sellers to go online on Flipkart
- The role would require extensive travel in the nearby regions - Ex. If based in Bangalore, will be required to travel to any location where there is a seller/manufacturer base like Hyderabad, Chennai, Vijayawada etc.
- In order to be successful, the candidate should develop a thorough knowledge of relevant Flipkart processes and support team in selection growth - his team will look upto him to solve operational and process-related problems to convince sellers to go online
- Develop and plan for bringing in the required selection and execute with urgency to add to sales
- Give seller and competitive inputs to internal teams like category, selection product and ops, onboarding, marketing etc. from time to time for improving internal processes and benchmarks
- Will be accountable for new sellers added/day - will be a strict sales-oriented role wherein the candidate has to be keep thinking about how he/she will achieve the daily sales number
- Candidate should be very comfortable with a target driven environment with daily reporting, calls etc.
- The role for South will be based in Bangalore, for West in Mumbai and for North in Delhi with extensive regional travel.
Desired Skills and experience:
- Post Graduate is mandatory
- Ability to manage operations involving external partner teams with good communication skills
- Program management skills, relationship management, interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams with an eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team
- Basic proficiency in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Power point
