Flipkart - Manager - Product Quality (5-10 yrs)

The Seller Quality (SCM) professional would be responsible for designing and executing seller and product quality and compliance modules jointly with relevant stakeholders

Responsibilities include:

1. Orchestrating Supplier Quality Inspection including Pre-dispatch and in-line audit structure for Quality

2. Liaising with various program stakeholders to:

a. gather the understanding and design a suitable quality & compliance monitoring structure, 

b. execute and share results and 

c. drive improvements/ suitable action 

d. get a buy-in and sign-off from all stakeholders for audit structure and actions

3. Capacity planning, checklist creation, coordinating with SPOCs / auditors pan India for execution of audits

4. Analyzing trends and modifying program construct accordingly 

5. Monitoring regularly to ensure adherence to the defined standards across all levels

6. Developing systems to monitor and measure performance against defined benchmarks

7. Establishing systems to promote awareness of Critical to Quality audit findings among stakeholders and drive corrective measures

8. Identifying areas of team improvement and ways to enhance Capability of People through training, multi-skilling, assessment etc.

9. Systemizing audit programs through existing online platform and ensuring all audit records and documentation are up-to-date and accurate

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. B.E./ B.Tech in any field;

2. Post-graduation especially in Management - desirable

3. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in applying Quality Management principles and conducting PDI across Service / Production / Distribution and Supply Chain industries

4. Experience in seller factory audits and sourcing quality checks

5. Well versed with concepts, tools and applications of Management Systems, Lean, Six Sigma

6. Preferably certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green Belt with project experience

7. Certified Lead Auditor for Management Systems (Quality / Environment, Health & Safety / Information Security / Business Continuity etc.)

Key Skills Required:

1. Must have proven track record of handling Quality Functions, Program Quality, Purchasing and Customer Quality Management

2. Ability to identify in-line / process quality check parameters across industries

3. Strong Management Skills with ability to lead teams and deliver the desired results

4. Manpower planning, PMS, Career Development, Succession Planning at all levels with the support of HR function

5. Good knowledge of deploying Lean, Six Sigma, use of Statistical Tools, FMEA, Control Plans etc.

6. Ability to Influence and get Buy-In from Senior Management for driving Quality initiatives

7. Excellent Communication and Presentation skills; Should be able to present facts, analysis, and conclusions or solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content

8. Ability to lead and conduct training programs for diverse set of people across all levels in the organization

9. Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance

10. Conversant with MS. Office
