About the Team :

- Mother hub acts as an aggregation and sortation center for moving shipments from Fulfilment centers and Seller clusters to Delivery hubs across the network.

- Economies of Scale:  MH supports FC's for efficient order fulfilment.  MH enables optimized utilization of transportation capacity. MH sorts at delivery hub level to improve Last Mile productivity.

- Differentiate Service and Speed, Scale can be leveraged to remove speed constraints. Sortation based on product characteristics, category/customer preference and network ask. The team engages in thinking futuristic, game-changing and out-of-the box solutions that may not have been tried and carry a measured risk. About the Role : 

At Ekart our continuous endeavor is to provide high quality experience to the customers by increasing operational excellence. The purpose of this job role is to lead Cluster Managers/Area Managers/Territory Manager through planning, organizing, controlling, coordinating and coaching. The Regional Manager's role is to ensure that operations cost of the region are efficiently managed and that the assigned hubs are profitable. That standard operating procedures are adhered to by the operations teams of the region at all times.

What will you do:

 - Accountable for all Hub Operations under the span of control and seek intervention from superior as appropriate.

- Achieve variable cost target.

- Continuously improve in reducing Error rate in Operations Management of the sort center.

- Ensuring hub Performance reporting periodically.

- Ensuring internal/external customers are delighted.

- Promptly and effectively manage customer escalations related to hub along with the support team.

- Ensuring employee engagement initiatives are implemented.

- Ensure 100% ZTP (Zero Tolerance Policy).

- Ensuring Hub Deliverable are met and duly reported.

- Ensure SOP Adherence in the hub at all times.

- Ensure availability of adequate and trained manpower at Hub as per manpower and business plan.

- Ensure commercial and statutory compliances are met along with the support of teams in the hub.

- Training and Development of teams in the region.

- Managing governmental bodies visits.

- Ensure Succession Planning at the hub.

- Grievance Handling and Conducting Open House/meetings with hub team.

- Proactively identify gaps in operations and support processes that impact operations and take preventive action.

- Conduct Monthly Review Meeting (MRM) along with Area Managers and Support team

What will you need:

- Operational Knowledge of Logistics/ Couriers/Retail/FMCG/FMCD industry.

- Ability to understand operation dynamics with ability to deliver in pressure situations.

- Skill and knowledge of operating ERP used in logistics/supply chain and related industry.

- Experience of leading/coaching/mentoring large team.

- Understanding of infra/processing/dock utilization capacity.

- Has the ability to deep dive & finding root cause analysis & purpose/deploy solutions.

- Has an eye of customer obsession.

- Ability to hire and develop.

- Good presentation skill & team bonding abilities in the most effective manner with juniors /peers.

- Should know computing skills especially reasonable knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook mail.

- Complete sort center control, ownership and accountability in managing with minimum supervision.

- Fluency in reading and writing in English. Fluency in local/vernacular language will be preferred.

- Escalations and follow up for problem resolution with Zonal/central control tower teams/leadership.3PL vendor management.

- Has the ability to manage all environmental bodies such as Government officials and compliance inspectors, local authorities and non-governmental bodies in the region.

- Preference will be given to those candidates who has the knowledge and skill of leading large operations and support teams in the area or region.

- Stakeholder management.
