About the team :

- Mother hub acts as an aggregation and sortation center for moving shipments from Fulfilment centers and Seller clusters to Delivery hubs across the network.

- Economies of Scale: - MH supports FC's for efficient order fulfilment. - MH enables optimized utilization of transportation capacity. MH sorts at delivery hub level to improve Last Mile productivity.

- Differentiate Service and Speed - Scale can be leveraged to remove speed constraints. Sortation based on product characteristics, category/customer preference and network ask. The team engages in thinking futuristic, game-changing and out-of-the box solutions that may not have been tried and carry a measured risk. The ever-changing e-commerce landscape assures Flipsters a larger-than-life experience in solving challenging supply chain problems and building avant-garde supply chain solutions..

About the Role :

The incumbent would be heading a team of 30 on roll and 700 off roll (contractual) and managing middle mile operations, people and key stakeholders ensuring that the management expectations are met, and the operations run smoothly without ambiguity. This person would be the bridge between leadership and the ground operations. Person would also be solving day to day operational issues and ensuring that the set targets/SLAs are met. Should be able to understand and learn network of outbound and inbound landing connections with impact on end customer., you will be required to understand and analyze existing processes to advise on improvements through process or product changes yielding higher productivity and customer experience in Mother Hub operations with better process quality.

What you'll do :

- Take end-to-end responsibility of ensuring seamless operations for Mother hub.

- Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for reporting Managers and team, measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.

- Leverages the Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas for improvements and drive implementation of the same.

- Works closely with Central Team, Planning and Finance to ensure manpower requirements are in line with AOP & Design.

Job Description :


- Develop and report KPI's (Key Performance Indicators), executive updates, perform RCA's (Root Cause Analysis) and identify potential opportunities for improving supply chain operations.

- Deep dive and acquire an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices and apply when solving business problems.

- Support Design team in pilot & rollout of new projects around performance improvement.

- Liaise with respective zonal operations team on smooth rollout of new initiatives towards quality improvement.

- Coordinate with various stakeholders & support functions and identify/implement actions towards achievement of cost, speed and reliability targets.

- Business process improvements towards customer satisfaction & efficiency with thorough understanding of lean management fundamentals.

- Identify / Evaluate opportunities for services / solutions that help improve the Speed, Cost, Reliability, Consistency in Mother Hub of the supply chain.

- Program manage design projects through the project life cycle (Ideation to Execution).

- Liaison with multiple design / network / Central / Line haul and other teams and external stakeholders for operational alignment and execution.

- Support monitoring of business matrices to identify any deviations from design/Network and provide solutions for said problem(s).

What you'll need :

- Translates Planning into Executions ensuring scale and sustainability.

- Understands process in detail and ensures all continuous follow-up with rigor on implementation.

- Leverage Operations Root cause analysis to structure solve and ensures implementation of long-term short-term solutions.

- Understands data deeply and is able to present with crisp communication. Can work in an ambiguous environment where data may not be available.

- Understands L0 metrics and financial implications during planning of network/layout/headcount, is able to use that for making decisions.

- Work collaboratively with a variety of teams and ensure clear communication with data for conclusion during exceptions and Business as usual operations.

- Foresight to prioritize and Plan using domain and business expertise to help sustain operations and process.

- Align stakeholders to define scope, identify success criteria, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources, develop and manage schedules, manage change, manage risk and manage communication to ensure Sustainable operation in BAU and exception.

- 7 to 10 years of experience in Sort centers/FC operations or Last mile operations, operations excellence or operations or strategy consulting is a must with excellent working knowledge in excel, PowerPoint and MS office.

- MBA or equivalent education in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.
