Flipkart - Manager - Line Haul Operations

About the role :

The incumbent would stationed out of North & will be managing the Vendor Day to day Service Management and will be leading North Zonal Operations team and working with key stakeholders ensuring that the management expectations are met and the operations run smoothly without ambiguity. This person would be the bridge between leadership and the ground operations. Candidate would also be solving day to day operational issues and ensuring that the set targets/SLA's are met.

What you'll do:

- Track Procurement Logistics metrics to monitor Network efficiency and enhance vendor performance

- Manage logistics movements via a mix of PTL / FTL vendors to ensure adequate and timely deliver of inventory to ensure seller experience as well as inventory placement requirements of the organization are met.

- Team management for daily operations, Handle route optimization along with load management

- To coordinate with zona and central teams and execute the various projects rolled out

- Transporter - PTL / FTL performance monitoring & Improvement (e.g. on-time truck performance)

- Cost performance and management in sync with Business finance.

- Continuous Improvement Management with vendors, development of SOPs

- Support market research to source new vendors to meet constant growth requirements as well as replace non performing transporters.

- Support Contract management and contract compliance for existing and new routes.

- Maintain and improve communication among stakeholders (Central,Zones, finance, business teams, procurement & vendors)

- Vendor Relationship management & Vendor retention on routes to gain from the learning curves of Fleet Operator's manpower.

- Monthly Vehicle Planning on Volume Visibility reports for selecting the optimal vehicle size

- To Support the Expansion, Speed improvement initiatives & debottlenecking of logistical constraints to crease reach at optimal cost.

- Ensuring Backhaul efficiency with the stakeholder management.

- Support In preparing Procurement Logistics roadmap for long term improvements.

- Manage SLA for all FTL/PTL movements across the country.

What you'll need:

- Candidate should fluently speak & write English & Hindi .

- Post Graduate

- Should have at-least 8 -10 yr team surface transportation experience in 3PL field .

- Must have a Customer First approach
