Fixed Income Researcher - BFS

- Work closely with senior analysts in the fixed income team

- Actively tracking the interest rate regimes across both developed and emerging markets

- Analysing the financial, economic, and political situation of each country and authoring research reports, thereby recommending investment strategies in their bonds and derivatives

- Studying monetary policy, various economic variables and other central bank activity to gauge and identify active trades in the market

- Contributing to research reports and commenting on changing supply, spread dynamics in these debt markets and trend in offshore bond flow

- Show a strong inclination to learn and understand the fixed income sector

- Maintain and update various databases

- Work on various client requests independently and in a timely and accurate manner

- Work on global products, when required

- Respond quickly, efficiently and accurately to ad-hoc requests

1. Knowledge of Fixed Income Instruments

2. Fixed Income valuation

3. Knowledge of Treasuries markets

4. Various spread measures like credit spreads, i-spreads, z-spreads etc.

5. Knowledge of various curves like spot curve, forward curve, par curve etc.

6. Bootstrapping of spot curve

7. Bond risk metrics like duration and convexity etc.

8. Knowledge of statistical tools like Python, R, MATLAB etc.
