FIX Client On-boarding Role - BFS

Role & Responsibilities:

- FIX Client On boarding

- Custom Client Setups

- Establish FIX connectivity with our/client network team

- Testing new releases of FIX electronic trading and routing infrastructure

- Certification of FIX interfaces between Nomura and Client/Vendors

- Managing FIX Algo specifications, ATDL files and integration of Nomura ALGO suite with the client/vendor

- Integration of trading infrastructures, new algorithms and UAT front to back

- Work closely with the network team in setting up FIX connections with vendor/clients

- Coordination of tasks / projects with technology development team

- Working with equity and futures group amongst other business areas, application development groups and third party vendors

- Manage vendor costs (software and network)

Competencies Required:

- Strong knowledge and practical experience with FIX protocol

- Understanding of common institutional trading practices, especially in Conjunction with connectivity and electronic trading

- Proactive and attentive to business-critical issues that are being tested

- Strong sense of problem ownership and the ability to prioritize and escalate assigned tasks well.

- Exposure to client/ user set up on trading systems

- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities

Recommended Skills:

- Business Knowledge of equities or futures broker business

- Working knowledge of Japanese and Asian securities markets and structure

- Knowledge of MS Access and Excel

- Knowledge of SQL, particularly on Sybase and with relevance to complicated joins and query performance
