First Steps Baby Wear - Regional Sales Manager (5-9 yrs)

The RSM is responsible to this role exists to achieve sales target set out by the management for the particular regions and to fulfill marketing objectives from time to time and to give directions to the team to perform on micro or macro factors affecting business and growth strategies.

III. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

- The RSM directly reports to GM-Sales.

- The Area Sales Managers in that particular zone report to this position directly and the entire field staff indirectly reports to RSM.

- The RSM works closely with the following titles in the different departments:

- Day to day activities and updating reports to GM-Sales and GM-Marketing / Marketing Manager

- For facilitating of hiring and firing decisions and salary, for sales commercial clarification / outstanding / deposits levels from the Sr. Executive HR.

- Execution of marketing initiatives from the Assistant Manager - Marketing.

- Interaction with Commercial Sales Team for rendering support to field staff through proper communication and upkeep of their transactional details.

- Hoarding agencies for feedback and suggestions on vintage points.

IV. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Appointment of distributors in new and existing areas:

- Assessment of current business in the range based on the criteria.

- Ascertaining the level of deposits of current business and the mix of the deposits.

- Distributor's appointments on completion of agreements.

- Stocks take over.

- Commencement of business, regular, correspondence.

- Building of sales team:

- Identifying areas, mapping of sales areas to sales potential according to the sales person.

- Coordinating with HR for recruitment.

- Short listed candidates, interviewing and appointments.

Achievements on sales targets:

- Fixing targets mutually between management and self, based on growth in last year and the potential of the brand in the existing market in tune with all India growth.

- Utilizing and analyzing previous records data, sales team is directed towards achieving targets.

- Distribution of targets according to potential, growth, saturation.

- Achievement of penetrations in sales and marketing.

- Drafting a plan on range wise sales, style wise penetration to be achieved by the entire year.

- Implement schemes to the advantage of the sales plan.

- New product launches and their management.

- Ensuring growth and increase in contribution of each style / range into the bottom line.

Inventory Control:

- Ensuring FIFO at the distribution point.

- Packaging requirements from time to time in MRP / Production, any damages in packaging.

- Maintaining stock health check at all distribution points.

- Performance Appraisal & Team Motivation:

- Based on criteria for different levels and individual potential for growth within the organization.

- Team management / Team building.

- Advise to HR on the appraisal numbers.

- Initializing new incentive schemes and methods to keep staff motivated to achieve targets, while keeping HR informed on the same.

V. JOB KNOWLEDGE:

- Education and Experience - MBA and 6-7 years relevant experience in the sales field with at least 2 years in channel sales managing 3+ states.
