Financial Modelling Role - Commercial Real Estate - Private Equity Firm (2-6 yrs)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary responsibility would involve working closely with clients in modelling and analysing transactions in real estate. The candidate will be expected to take lead on the projects assigned to her/him and make sure that the deliverables are provided to client within the stipulated timeframe. The role involves working directly with global institutional investors such as investment banks, hedge funds and private equity firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Synthesize information from investment memoranda and populate data into excel model templates
- Analyse historical cash flows and identify key drivers
- Input data into Technology System and notify the client when complete
- Ensure Technology System is up to date and accurate
- Assist in providing additional underwriting support
- Finding comparable transaction and lease data and assisting in modelling and inputting into the system
- Extract information from finance documents
- Conduct covenant calculation checks
- Follow up on information undertakings
- Prepare key date calendars
- Conduct ad hoc market research
Required Skill Set:
- 2 to 6 years' work experience in the industry (real estate PE, investment banking, real estate direct lending group or debt fund)
- Strong fluency in financial modelling in excel
- Broad understanding of real estate debt landscape
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
