Roles & responsibilities :
- Efficiently handling field work on financial due diligence engagements
- Summarizing and analyzing financial / accounting information relating to income statements, balance sheets, profitability data, cash flow statements, quality of earnings, quality of net assets etc.
- Preparing excel data books and analyzing revenue, margins, costs, assets, liabilities with the objective of identifying key issues such as normalized earnings, net debt liabilities, net working capital trends, valuation model, input assumptions, analysis of forecasts etc.
- Preparation of due diligence reports highlighting key findings and presenting summary analysis
- Creating strong relationships with clients and target management
- Review of due diligence reports for any inconsistency within the report or within financial workbook
Essential skills required :
Education / professional qualifications : MBA (Finance) / CA preferred, but not mandatory
Prior experience :
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with an M&A transaction support team
- Experience in supporting international stakeholders across geographies
- Client interaction / coordination experience preferred
Project & team management exposure :
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
- Work within the set timelines and communicate deviations/ updates to project lead and/ or onsite users
- Have an eye for detail
- High problem-solving skills
Technical skills :
- Strong academic foundation knowledge of the field of accounting
- Basic knowledge of preparing templates, graphs, charts etc. from information provided in hard copies and downloaded from data sites
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
