Financial Controller - Services Industry - CA (13-16 yrs)
Reporting to: CFO
Key Responsibilities :
Financial reporting & control :
- Responsible for maintaining a robust financial and operational control environment in India business
- Overall responsible for the financial governance and all aspects of financial reporting
- Continually review, challenge, revise and then implement changes to the accounting and Management Information systems to provide maximum insight into company performance
- Ongoing review & implementation of new financial controls as appropriate
- Ensure statutory & Tax compliance i.e. Review and filing of Corporation Tax returns, Annual Tax credit workings
- Ensuring that appropriate and adequate internal controls are in place and that the site operates in accordance with corporate procedures such as Inventory and Fixed asset physical verifications etc.
- The Controller will be responsible for providing the leadership team with reports and insights, providing all financial submissions and managing all budgets and business target
- Monthly Results compilation & Variance Analysis to Stakeholders
- Preparation and analysis of key cost items and initiate cost-saving opportunities to improve margins of the business
- Help to maintain accountability across departments for both revenue and spend targets
- Continuous review of inventory levels and providing indicators to SCM/business on a timely basis on slow-moving inventories
Revenue Assurance :
- Identify leakages & ensure robust revenue assurance protocols
Taxation :
- Manage the entire protocols over Indirect & Direct Taxation
Treasury :
- Cash management including short and long term cash forecasting, operation of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- To lead internal controls, accounting/reporting, Treasury and Tax; work very closely with CFO and CEO on business-critical projects
Financial Shared Services :
- Operating responsibility on Financial Shared Services, building robust processes & development on matrices to drive efficiencies
Educational & Experience requirements:
- Chartered Accountant with 13-16 years of experience in handling Accounting/Finance function of either an Indian or Multinational Organization
- Should have strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability lead the function from the front
