Financial Controller ( From IT Service Consulting/ IT products company)

Financial Accounting: 

- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls

- Ensure compliance to accounting policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance to changes in accounting standards/ regulatory requirements for financial reporting

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of company financials in compliance with the accounting standards & regulatory requirements

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Ensure there is adequate balance sheet account ownership

- Deal effectively with any technical issues that may arise on account of changes in business models, new businesses, mergers and acquisitions

Controls: 

- Ensure effective setup and implementation of internal controls across various business units / locations

- Partner with IT and other finance leads in establishing system based controls and continuous improvements in monitoring and reporting

- Ensure periodic reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts

- Ensure efficient operations and seek opportunities for improvement

- Maintain strong professional relationship with statutory & internal auditors and proactively partner on accounts closing, reporting and internal audit matters

- Review contractual terms (commercial and tax terms) to facilitate tax optimization and optimum negotiation with customers

- Devise proper measures for asset management and protecting assets of the firm

- Co-ordinate with finance team members to continuously focus on process simplification, automation, waste elimination and higher levels of customer satisfaction
