Financial Controller - Internet/Online - CA

Job Profile:

- This role will form an integral part of the core leadership team and responsible to lay - down financial

- This role will form an integral part of the core leadership team and responsible to lay - down financial operating frameworks and drive the organization's growth plans over the next 3 - 5 years

- Directly responsible for financial accounting, audit, risk, corporate finance and statutory compliances - preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory audit.

- Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget with various departments, financial forecasts, and report variances. Ensure minimal deviations and appropriate reporting of the same.

- Cash flow management and fund allocation as per the agreed guidelines between the various stakeholders.

- Compliances for direct / indirect tax requirements, GST, secretarial, legal and other statutory compliances.

- Manage reconciliation with various business partners (e.g. payment gateways, delivery partners, Amazon,)

- Systems & Processes would be an integral part of the role; ability to set up systems and establish robust and scalable processes with the appropriate risk mitigation to be put into place.

- Manage the expectations of the stakeholders through providing them monthly MIS, accounts, cash flows statements, and legal compliance reports. Be the guardian of the interest of the shareholders and effectively monitor and report the progress.

- Ability to build controls and governance within the organization with a robust framework encompassing all departments & functions

Candidate Profile:

- A Chartered accountant with 8-12 years of experience is a must for this role

- Should have had some experience of working in a startup - this is a mandatory requirement

- Ability to work in an unstructured environment and setting up system & processes from scratch is must

- Some areas which are good to have but not mandatory:

- Exposure in managing secretarial compliances or legal functions is a plus (but not essential)

- Having worked closely/directly with founders in previous jobs is a big plus (but not essential)

- Exposure to VC/PE fund raise is a plus (but not essential)
