Financial Controller - International MFI - CA/CPA

Our Client is an international MFI with presence in multiple Asian Countries. This role would be heading the finance function for Sri Lanka.

Job Description:

1. In collaboration with global finance team, monitor internal financial controls, participate in budgeting process, and evaluate and manage financial risk

2. Working closely with finance team, external IPO consultants and related departments within the organization, develop, coordinate, and assist the implementation of policies regarding IPO, including aspects of Corporate Governance, Financial Closing and Reporting Process, Internal Control, Compliance, and IT

3. Working closely with external IFRS consultants and related departments within the organization, develop and implement internal accounting policies and operational procedures in compliance with full version of IFRS

4. Continuously research on new IFRS developments and periodically review and update of the internal accounting policies and operational procedures in order to maintain the alignment with IFRS

5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS

6. Support DD for fundraising and investor relations matters

Ideal Candidate:

- CA, CPA, US CPA or other relevant accounting/ finance degree

- At least 5-year experience in financial accounting and reporting role (professional audit/accounting firms, accounting consulting, etc.)

- At least 2-year experience in microfinance/NBFC and/or financial industry
