Financial Controller - Freight & Courier Services

Key Purpose of the Job:

The role should be able to manage all Corporate accounting activities. The activities would include:

completion of the financial statements along with the audit, IFC - ensuring adequate internal control for financial entries and compliances with the relevant statutes including direct and Indirect taxes. Role also includes managing treasury team and all related activities. Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Should be able to manage the team which shall be responsible for corporate accounting function. Ensuring Completeness, Accuracy & timelines of reporting.

Key Result Areas:

- Statutory Books of Accounts and other accounting activities

- Consolidation for Group Reporting:

- Taxation

- Controls

- Compliance

- Management accounting entries

- Systems and Processes

Key Skills/Experience Required:

- Professional Accounting qualification - CA mandatory. CS added bonus

- Managing Processes, Driving Financial ERP module, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance.

- High degree of process orientation, ability to build process ie adaptability to an accelerating business.

- Ability to think out of the box and produce results with available resources

- Good at designing and maintaining control process relevant to controllership profile

Technical skills:

- Accounting standards, knowledge of IFRS an added advantage. Monthly/Quarterly closing and audit experience.

IT skills:

- MS excel, Exposure to large F&A ERP like SAP, Oracle etc. preferred. ( Being in company with SAP exposure)
