Financial Controller - CA - Retail

Experience : Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 to 12 years of Post Qualification Experience.

Our client is looking for a Finance Controller who is from a retail industry, has been trained in Big 4, worked with Big 4 auditors and has excellent knowledge of process improvement and scalable operations

Key responsibilities:

- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

- Oversee all company accounts

- Ensure total accuracy and transparency of data from the accounting system

- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies

- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations

- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems

- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

- Creation of Annual operating plans, getting a sign off from all concerned stakeholders

- Review all financial plans regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities

- . Use data from the accounting system to create a robust MIS (Monthly) & relevant dashboards (daily) enabling swift and accurate decision making

- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations

- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports

- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants

- Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback

- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation

- Collaborate with auditors/tax consultants/secretarial consultants to ensure proper compliance with all regulations

- Hands on Direct and working knowledge of indirect tax for day to day accounting,

- Supervision of GST, Service Tax and VAT reco.

- Knowledge of India GAP and US GAP

- Ensure efficient working capital management, enabling faster cash generation

- Adherence to the strictest standards of Corporate Governance

- Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information

- Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
