Finance System Analyst - Technology Projects - Manufacturing Firm (3-10 yrs)
Job Description:
- Candidate must be an excellent analytical thinker and problem solvers, as well as an effective- communicator. Highly motivated, able to multi-task, and possess a solid work ethic with- commitment to task completion in a timely manner.
Candidate responsibilities include:
- Ability to identify technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements,- automation, and application of best practices.
- Act as project manager for assigned technology projects, including managing project- activities, budgets, deliverables and timelines.
- Operate with the objective of executing- projects to meet the required standard of quality; ensuring business success; and- ensuring professional stakeholder management
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and various departments within the firm- including DT and Finance
- Monitor critical applications and provide system-level support of infrastructure and- systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of- these systems. Create and/or maintain detailed standard work and systems- documentation
- Analyze system issues, develop technical solutions and document issue-resolution- knowledge base.
- Upgrade systems and their underlying technology to keep current with industry. Conduct- technical research to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with- current system.
- Assists with the planning, coordination and development of Qlik dashboards
- Support internal and external audits
- Coordinate change-control activity as required (e.g., new releases, software updates and- configuration changes), as well as testing and deployment of applications
- Lead the implementation of new technology solutions while adhering to security- standards. Gather requirements, write design specifications, configure systems,- coordinate the testing activities and implement the solution in production.
Education/Certifications:
- Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, management of information- systems (MIS) or related field
Basic Qualifications:
- Five-plus years of experience working with application support and infrastructure- components and services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to quickly diagnose and remediate- service issues
- A demonstrated customer focus, with the ability to evaluate decisions through the eyes- of the customer and build strong relationships
- Understanding of compliance and controls - support internal and external audits
- Demonstrated success working in a cross-geography environment, in virtual teams and- on time bound-deliverables (both activities and projects)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to- communicate in a clear and succinct manner
- A passion for current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job- experience and/or industry activities
- Results-oriented with strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience with as many of the following technologies as possible: Windows- Server, SQL Server, Visual Studio, SharePoint, Tidal, .Net and IIS.
- Blackline, Archer, JD Edwards and/or Sabrix experience are a plus
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., Azure) and data analytics tools (Qlik Sense or Power- BI) preferred
- Programming and/or debugging experience is a plus
