Finance & Operations Role - Private Equity Funding Firm - CA/CFA (8-12 yrs)

About the Opportunity:

In this role the individual will work closely with the senior management team based in Singapore.

Core Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance

- Coordinate preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (Singapore/India/Mauritius)

- Prepare quarterly portfolio NAV calculation

- Coordinate preparation of annual financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards

- Liaison with the auditors for completion of audits

Investment & Asset Management

- Work with the asset management team to closely monitor the performance of individual investments and overall portfolio quarterly

- Coordinate property and business valuation for the entire portfolio. Review/ analyse quarterly movement in portfolio valuations.

- Work with Investment team on all new investments from an offshore funding, regulatory requirements and documentation

- Work with banks and other financial institutions for any offshore borrowing and offshore undertakings given for borrowing at India level

- Monitor onshore borrowing balance, interest rate, covenant and other compliance on monthly basis

Investor Relations :

- Organize and coordinate quarterly board meetings including preparation of meeting agenda and requisite Board presentations and supporting materials, tracking and following-up of BM action list

- Prepare quarterly reports to investors timely in accordance with Shareholders- Agreement

- Preparation of INREV reporting for investors

- Preparation and presentation of the portfolios returns

Treasury :

- Preparation of annual budgets

- Review vendor invoices to ensure the spending is in accordance with budget and company policy, and approved by appropriate authority

- Conduct effective cash management, including monitoring balance and planning cash flows weekly
 
Taxation and compliance :

- Ensure offshore entities- tax returns are filed timely at applicable jurisdictions

- Ensure compliance with Singapore/India/Mauritius statutory and tax filings

- Ensure compliance with SEBI FPI requirements (annual KYC, 3 yearly license renewal etc.)

- Ensure compliance with ETF conditions and submission of annual compliance declaration

Qualifications / Experience Required:

- Chartered Accountant/CPA

- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or private equity fund administration / statutory audits

- Strong technical accounting skills

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines

- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across multiple levels, functions and locations

- Proven track record in statutory compliance, financial analysis, capital structuring, financial reporting, investor reporting, capital raising, and liaising with tax authorities

- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
