We are looking for a candidate for the position of Finance Officer one of the Petroleum Company.

Principle Responsibilities :
- Participate in closure of financial period on SAP and ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Carry out monthly reconciliation for all tax accounts to ensure compliance to statutory requirements.
- Prepare product costing and pricing templates for review by Finance Manager and booking in SAP.
- Perform all accounting reconciliations within set timelines.
- Liaising with and provide information to internal and external auditors and statutory bodies in line with statutory laws and regulations.
- Timely reconciliation of prepayments, provisions for expenses and employee General Ledger accounts.
- Perform book keeping activities including Booking of suppliers/vendor invoices leading to end month reporting.
- Carry out Inter-company reconciliation for sign-off and reporting.
- Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.
- Review local purchase orders to facilitate sales and ensure payment as per the terms.
- Maintain a register for all debtors and liaise with the sales team for payments.
- Monitor credit facilities and ensure they are maintained within approved credit limits.
- Prepare a payment schedule to facilitate payments of due accounts in a timely manner.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system for ease of documentation storage

Job Experience :
- Atleast 2 years- experience in a similar position within a busy finance environment;
- Good working knowledge of the ERP system preferably SAP;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
- Be able to work under pressure and attend to any ad hoc functions as may be required;
- Experience in financial and accounting systems, compliance reviews, audits, financial control reporting, and risk management;
