Finance And Accounting Leader :
Be the numbers-person and the financial wizard of the organization. Develop all necessary policies, processes, procedures, and systems to be complaint with statutory requirements and financial well-being of the IT product-services start-up.
Responsibilities :
- Design, administer and supervise financial and accounting activities
- Effectively manage cash, corporate accounts, fixed assets, monthly closing of books and accounting transactions
- Generates corporate accounts and finalisation of books of account- profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow statements
- Define and implement statutory compliant internal control systems, policies and procedures in to ensure that the company's interestare safeguarded
- Develop good working relationships with professionals such as bankers, auditors, vendors and statutory organizations for the benefit of the firm.
- Manage/verify vendor payments and purchase orders
- Monitor cash flows and using the same to predict future financial trends
- Manages staff reimbursement including conveyance, medical reimbursement, telephone, travelling, etc.
- Manageall activities related to payroll processing such as salaries, advances, recoveries etc.
- Manage/Account statutory liabilities such as VAT, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, service tax etc., and ensuring timely payment
- Audit the accounts and support external auditors; ensure compliance to internal and external control policies
- Define, implement and manager necessary reports/records for decision making and compliance
- Prepare company balance sheet and manage necessary statutory filings, reports, communication with authorities
Skills :
- Knowledge of auditing,end-to-end accounting, budgeting & forecasting,costing, controlling, general ledger, financial planning, and reporting
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards (India and U.S.GAAP). Demonstrated understanding of accounting (including financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, P&L, under U.S. GAAP as well)
- Knowledge of popular accounting and payroll software applications (Tally, Office, XYZ)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good written and verbal communication
Credentials :
- Chartered Accountant
- 10-12 years of experience in leading/managing accounting, auditing, controlling, and statutory reporting activities for software IT product/services organizations
- Experience of working with start-ups desirable
