Finance Lead

The Opportunity:

Were looking for a finance professional with a proven track record in preparing financial statements from the ground up and managing disclosures per SEC regulations. This role is pivotal to establishing our core financial reporting framework and ensuring our operations meet US GAAP and other relevant regulatory standards.

Impact:

- Create and Own Financial Reports: Help build a tool to prepare comprehensive financial statements and disclosures.

- Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Oversee and maintain compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable standards.

- Collaborate with AI Teams: Work alongside our technical teams to offer insights on finance workflows that can be automated or optimized.

- Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting processes, minimizing errors and reducing turnaround time.

- Influence Company Strategy: Provide accurate and timely financial insights that inform strategic decision-making at the highest level.

What Were Looking For:

Technical Excellence:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Technical Accounting, US GAAP and exposure to SEC disclosures is a must.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills for accurate financial reporting

- Experience in drafting and finalizing financial statements from scratch

- Familiarity with new-age financial reporting tools or willingness to adapt and learn

Experience:

- Prior experience in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and financial statement preparation.

- A proven track record of leading financial reporting teams or functions in large organizations, startups, or fast-scaling businesses.

- Proven ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership of finance projects

- Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, product, etc.)

Ideal Additions:

- Certified CPA degree holder with prior Audit Experience in Global Big 4s would be very favorable

- Exposure to AI/ML-driven finance tools or an interest in integrating advanced technologies into finance processes
