Our client Anviti Insurance Brokers Private Limited is in the process of setting up its Insurance Broking operations in India. Anviti is promoted by Catamaran, the proprietary investment firm of Mr N.R. Narayana Murthy, founder of Infosys Limited. Catamaran has a long-term orientation and intend to build an enduring institution, based on values and excellence, that will achieve market leadership

- S/he will be responsible for the company's financial and fiscal management aspects, providing leadership and coordination in business planning, financial performance, accounting and Budgeting efforts.

- S/he will be a part of the senior management team working closely with the CEO and the board, charting the company's future.

- S/he should have prior experience in Business Plan projections and budgeting : Play a key role in the business decisions by understanding the business relevant metrics and carrying out financial analysis.

- Ability to take a contrarian view to the CEO and ensure that the right fiscal decisions are taken. Budgeting top down and bottom up and stretch wherever there is opportunity. Publish monthly P&L statements and Cash flow management

- Financial reporting & statutory compliance : Provide daily/weekly/monthly/fortnightly financial and management information reports including budget Vs actual.

- Responsible for accounting and financial systems, 100% statutory compliance and timely, adequate controls and accurate book keeping

Taxation and audits : Develop appropriate processes to reduce tax burden.

Monitor compliance with statutory authorities for taxation.

Liaise with external Auditors to ensure timely and smooth closure of financials.

Smoothly complete statutory and internal audits.

- Managing investor relationship

The Ideal Candidate :

- S/he will define and execute a strong and ethical financial organization. And be known for his/her highest level of ethical practices

Experience :

- Minimum 15-20 years with at-least 5 years in a CFO role of corporate; preferably from Insurance Industry or regulated Financial Service organizations

- Have or acquired a deep understanding of reconciliation and sales accounting for its unique nature of cash flow in the same so as to identify early the risks / alarm signals.

- Experience of working in a start-up environment will be an added advantage.

- Entrepreneurial at heart and likes to take ownership

- Excellent analytical skills, motivated, hardworking and self-driven leader

- A Master's Degree in Finance, Professional Finance Qualification (CA/ ACCA or equivalent) is essential.

- The leader is expected be a team player with experience in managing people and projects, a self-starter with a pro-active attitude and proficient in ERP Applications.

- Ability to interact with stakeholders internal and external is essential.
