Head - Finance Position: - As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Finance Head will report to the Chief Executive Officer and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services; strategic MIS for shareholderss; with special focus on risk, fraud & compliance management through robust preventive & breakdown processes / policies.. - The Finance Head will also have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, legal,deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. Responsibilities : - Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. - Responsible for creating forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations - Drives the company's financial planning - Performs risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments - Decides on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks - Controls and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans and capital structure - Ensures cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations - Ensures credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts. - Plans and implements necessary finance control mechanisms to optimize costs and build efficiencies - Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system. - Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. - Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions. - Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. - Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company - Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. - Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. - Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance. - Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner. - Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. - Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends to assist the CEO/President, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. - Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. - Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. - Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline. - Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets. - Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments. - Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. - Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. - Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter. - Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals. Qualifications and Requirements: - Charted Accountant - 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles Personal Attributes: - Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational level - Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential - Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies - Ability to handle high level of pressure and critical decision making - Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses - High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Other Skills & Abilities: - PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel & Tally is preferred.
