Summary:
The role encompasses leading financial operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance. As a key business partner, the Site Finance Lead will provide critical financial insights, support decision-making, and drive excellence across accounting, reporting, and FP&A functions. The ideal candidate is agile, results-driven, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Operations / Accounting & Reporting Local Compliance and Reporting:
- Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and payment operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting, optimization, and local treasury activities.
- Coordinate internal and external audits to meet regulatory requirements.
- Supervise travel management and the Self Development Fund (SDF) processes.
Group-Level Reporting:
- Consolidate AP, AR, GL, and treasury activities across local and group operations.
- Manage month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Oversee reconciliations and maintain financial integrity.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic financial planning processes aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide financial guidance to senior brand and business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities across the brand and central finance teams.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business initiatives and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analyses for senior management and stakeholders.
- Communicate financial insights in a clear, concise manner, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with brand finance teams to standardize and enhance local performance reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
- While starting as a one-person team, over time, build and develop a local finance team to support growing business needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop said team to high performance, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Provide guidance on transformational change, ensuring teams adapt to evolving financial requirements and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Finance functions across the group to ensure cohesive financial strategies and practices.
- Work towards establishing a solid partnership with the Payroll team for mutual long-term benefits.
Person Profile:
- CA with 15 + years post qualification experience.
- We need someone who has anchored the Finance & compliance for a captive unit. Ideally someone with experience in scaling one up
- We need someone who does not hesitate in starting as an IC and then build a team
- Extensive experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a large-scale, agile environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong influencing abilities.
- Excellent analytical and review skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage complex financial data.
- Proactive and results-driven, with a desire to contribute to all areas of financial performance and planning.
- Display high integrity, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset, demonstrating tenacity to achieve outcomes.
- Objective, analytical, and impartial, with the ability to deliver within tight timelines.
- Agile and adaptable, thriving in new and unfamiliar situations.
