Must Haves for the role - Team Lead experince, PG in Finance (CA/MBA/CWA/CMA) Willing to work with multiple geographies timelines Looking for an experienced person to join the team as Accounting Shared Service Director, who will report to the International Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with the Regional Controllers across the entire International Division covering Australia, Asia, India, EMEA, Latin America & Canada on critical aspects of operational accounting process, strategy and processing output. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the performance of a team of Accountants who will create & review accounting entries for multiple International entities, reconcile balance sheet accounts, provide tax reporting, cashflow forecasting and liaise with auditors on standard requests ensuring accuracy of financial information. This position will be responsible for implementing a strategy of continuous process improvement in conjunction with support from our technology division. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Below are the essential accountabilities of this position that are critical for the successful performance, and the expected outcomes. - People Management: Manage and develop the team. Provide feedback and reinforcement; share appropriate responsibilities; define parameters; provide support without removing associate's responsibility; stay informed and promote accountability. Promote continuous improvement of processes and encourage and support team engagement in process improvement. - Internal Control: Develop, implement, and maintain a strong internal control system and environment to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. - Process Improvement: Follow a strategy of continuous improvement focusing on leveraging system capabilities to drive automation and standardization, grow team knowledge to develop a center of excellence and work proactively with regional Controllers to deliver an exceptional service covering business accounting needs. - Audit Management: Field requests from external and internal auditors, ensuring timely completion of audit samples and any related reports. Interacting with statutory auditors during annual and Tax audits and ensuring that the observations are closed expeditiously and in time bound manner. - Tax: Liaise with Tax Management Team to provide GST and Income Tax data following standard reporting processes. Ensure tax reporting efficiency and react to any potential changes in tax regime or reporting requirements.
