Finance Controller - Vet Health/Animal Nutrition Industry - CA

Key Result Area

To establish system controls and procedures for financial and accounting system to achieve corporate objective.

Key Responsibilities

1) Achieve Accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plan and reviews; preparing and completing action plans for cost reduction and cost control, resolving problems identifying trends, determining system improvement, implementing change.

2) Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

3) Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data, preparing special reports monthly operating Reports (MOR) and Plant performance Report.

4) Maintains accounting controls by defining accounting policies and procedures.

5) Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.

6) Suggesting, preparing and implementing systems, policies and procedures to facilitate internal financial controls.

7) Assisting in statutory and internal audits and preparing action plan to resolve the issues/ concerns areas.

8) Handle and avoids legal challenges w.r.t to Excise, Custom and Service Tax, GVAT and CST, Income Tax and enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.

9) Manpower planning for Accounts Department Team and their Training & Development, Goal setting, performance review, IDP Development & Review, ESS Action Plan implementation and other HR development initiatives as per management planning.

Preferred Candidate:

- Chartered Accountant with 12+ years of experience

- Candidates with experience in vet health, Animal Nutrition industry would have advantage over others
